Cycling...

CyclingThe Hotel has four superb mountain bikes that can be hired, free of charge, to hotel guests (including helmets, panniers, locks etc.) for a whole or part day. To ensure all guests who wish to use them have the opportunity to, they cannot be reserved more than 24 hours in advance.

One of the most popular cycling routes in Speyside is the Speyside Way - perfect for mountain bikes - which passes directly in front of the hotel. One can cycle 12 miles upstream to Cragganmore, passing the Knockando, Imperial, and Tamdhu distilleries, or 20 miles downstream to the mouth of the Spey, passing Baxter's of Speyside.

A third alternative is an 8 mile round trip up the Dufftown spur of the Speyside Way running along the river Fiddich to Glenfiddich and Balvenie Distilleries !!

For the rather more adventurous, the mountain bike trails of Ben Aigan are less than a mile away; what an exhilarating way of enjoying the Speyside scenery!

The hotel stocks supplies of Ordnance Survey "Landranger" maps, very useful for cycling around the area. These are available to purchase from Reception. A Bike carrier for a maximum 3 bikes that will fit most saloon cars can also be also be hired.
