Salmon Fishing...

Fly fishermen from all over the world are attracted to this area of Scotland, to pit their wits against the Spey Salmon, King of the River

The salmon fishing season runs from 11 February to 30 September

The hotel doesn't have a beat on the Spey. However, The Craigellachie Fishings beat is situated on the river Spey right in front of the hotel. The beat is predominantly time share but let rods are normally available throughout the season. Rods are let normally by the rod week, but day lets are available up to mid March.

Bring your catch to us and let us cook it for you for dinner ~ Champagne or Chablis always goes down well when eating your own catch! Alternativey keep it in our rod room that has freezing facilities until you leave, or take it to the local smokehouse and have it smoked !
