Golf...

Scotland is the home of golf and the courses of Speyside and Moray provide superb opportunities for low handicap, club and social golfers alike. We can arrange tee times for you at almost all of the courses in the area.

Alternatively, Peter Gordon (plays off 2), a native of Nairn, and past captain of Nairn West Golf Club - where the Walker Cup was staged in September 1999 - will be delighted to arrange for you to play on a course to suit your expertise and to accompany you if you prefer. He is a fount of Scottish history and has a fund of stories both general and golfing. A day spent in his company passes very quickly. For novices there are many courses close to the hotel which are not too testing and, for the expert Nairn, Dornoch and even Carnoustie are within reach. Equipment and private tuition can also be easily arranged.

The Hotel has two full sets of high quality golf clubs, complete with bags and trolleys that can be hired, free of charge, to hotel guests for a whole or part day. To ensure all guests who wish to use them have the opportunity to, we regret they cannot be reserved more than 24 hours in advance.

There is also a driving net and chipping nets in the hotel grounds so that you can get in a bit of last minute practice.
